Green heavyweight tails are out of stock. wait time is 1 month for resupply.

The tails are an essential part of wind reading as they will pick up even the slightest puff of wind. The elevation of the tail shows the strength of the wind.

Black tails - lightweight. Good for protected ranges

Green tails - heavyweight. Good for open ranges and long distance

Flag tails come with a clip to attach to the vane of each flag.
(You can buy additional clips separately)

Important: tails have a slight curve on the 2 long edges. Be sure to install the tail with the concave curve facing the sky. We recommend writing your name on the outside of the top of the tail to identify which way to install them. 
We recommend storing tails in a 55-60mm PVC pipe to maintain the curved edges.

Notes on cutting to length:
Some ranges will require you to cut the tail to a shorter length so it does not touch the ground. We suggest having a few extra tails so you can use them in various combinations depending on the range and the height of the target frames.
